Lead Platform DevOps engineer

We are working with a leading organisation in Dublin City Centre who require a Lead DevOps Engineer for an initial 3-month daily rate contract. Immediate joiners only.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and support the cloud/platform engineering function
• Own and enhance AWS-based infrastructure environments
• Drive CI/CD, automation, and GitOps best practice
• Manage and optimise Kubernetes / EKS environments
• Improve monitoring, observability, and platform reliability
• Identify and deliver AWS cost-saving opportunities
• Ensure strong security controls across cloud environments
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external delivery partners

Key Skills:

• 10+ years’ experience in DevOps / Platform / Cloud Engineering roles
• Strong hands-on AWS experience (EKS)
• Deep Terraform experience
• Strong experience with ArgoCD and GitOps workflows
• Expertise with GitHub Actions for CI/CD
• Strong monitoring experience
• Proven AWS cost optimisation experience with measurable results
• Strong security knowledge
• Previous leadership experience managing teams, functions, or vendors
• Strong stakeholder management and client-facing communication skills
• Experience leading teams or mentoring engineers beneficial
